The day after Christmas we braved the crowds and caught a flight to SeaTac to spend some time with my dad and Tommy's sister and her family. After spending one night in Duvall, we crossed over the Snoqualmie Pass to get to Grandpa Gary's house in Wenatchee, Washington.
It's a bueatiful area, but the weather makes the roads a little dangerous. We ended up having to leave a day early because the weather was turning on us.

But, before we went, we got to spend some quality time with Grandpa.

Josie and Grandpa Gary

Granpa babysat for Tommy and I so we could catch a movie together (the first one since she was born!). They kicked back in their P.J.'s, listened to some jazz music and did a little dancing.

As we left Wenatchee, we asked Dad and Linda to accompany us to the Fiftyniner Diner, which is a favorite spot they introduced us to a few years ago. They have wonderful Oreo Shakes! Josie chose to bring her own food, rather than eat off the menu (that's her, behind the bottle).
