Viva Las Vegas (and Mesquite) 2014

Tommy usually attends a Psychopharmacological Conference in Vegas every year; and we all usually tag along, because, hey, we got nothin’ else to do and the hotel room is already paid for!

But this year, because of the whole

We-thought-we-were-moving-to-Oregon-but-then-we-didn’t Thing,

we hadn't planned on going.

Josie kept asking when we would go to Vegas next, and all we could say was, “maybe next year.”

But then!

Tommy’s brother and sister-in-law decided to have their sweet new baby blessed in Mesquite, which made Vegas just a hop, skip and a jump away!

So, Viva Las Vegas! happened after all!

It was by far the longest road trip we have ever taken, so we had to get creative in keeping the masses entertained:

Tre had the best idea, in my opinion.

We spent one night in Mesquite before heading to Vegas the next day.

Our first stop was M&M World, because it is Josie’s Mecca. Then we hit the arcades to see if we could strike it rich!

Uncle Johnny came over later and we ate at The Wicked Spoon Buffet (and decided it was better the last time we ate there).

The next day we played around at Bass Pro Shop before heading back to Mesquite.

Back in Mesquite we enjoyed the pool, the bowling alley, arcades and the restaurant at the Virgin River Hotel and Casino.
