Josie’s cousin, Brooklyn, introduced Josie to the joys of Elmo’s World some time ago.
One of Josie’s favorite episodes is one in which Elmo is in Allan’s café when the grease catches fire. Elmo has to evacuate the café with Maria, and they call 9-1-1. The fire crew puts out the fire, but Elmo is pretty shaken up and doesn’t ever want to go back into the café again. Maria decides to take Elmo to the fire station where Elmo learns all about fire safety from the fire fighters themselves.
It’s all very exciting.
So, imagine the thrill when Josie was invited to a birthday party at…wait for it…the local fire station!!

and pet the Chief’s dog, Pilot
Again, it was all very exciting. I think the only thing that would have improved the experience for Josie is if Elmo had been there, too.
